IgG 101 (C vs Fc confusion)

A lesson learned: read twice, clone once.

Recently a client asked us to fuse a gene with a human Fc. Without double checking the request we fused the requested gene with the entire human G1 constant region and delivered it to the client. You can only imagine our embarrassment when the client called and told us that we had assembled a wrong construct.
